BornTroWay 2016
The BornTroWay Community Arts Project is an arts training initiative that promotes leadership, individual self-confidence, self-expression, teamwork and integration amongst the youths in disadvantaged areas of Africa's major cities. It consists of a public audition, followed by an intensive one-week training in music, poetry, dance and acting and it culminates in a public performance fully and originally created by the young participants (aged 15-22). The vision is for the best acts and artists from each city are to be selected to partake in the production of a musical show that will tour Nigeria and Africa, celebrating talent and promoting peace and unity from the perspective of young people that often lack the opportunities of expressing their voice. The Project aspires to partner with local organizations and artists to set up community centers, where motivated youth can meet to create, share and make of joint ideas a reality. BornTroWay was born by the joint inspiration of Ilaria Chessa of Planet Heart Foundation ( ) and artiste Ade Bantu Crew ( ).
